Glowy eyes

I'm definitely no expert on lighting, but I do have some advice from just looking at how the light bounces off of my flashlight:
the shadow and light have very sharp contrasts, so especially around the bangs and maybe a bit near the nose, the shadows shouldn't really blend in but have sharp/er lines. Don't be afraid to make the shadows really dark and the light areas really light
It helps if you take a flashlight up to your face and see where/how the shadows fall, or even take it and shine it through a cupped hand to see how it behaves (tone-wise).
I can't really give any other tips because I'm a novice myself, but that's just my observation from playing with a flashlight
