--Absolutely uncreative title is absolutely uncreative. But I had to have something.

I've been meaning to upload this for a while because I'm pretty happy with the final product. the only reason I didn't earlier was that I promised myself that I'd write up Nexxi's backstory here and I was putting that off. But right now I have homework AND a buttload of dishes to do which makes this the perfect time to procrastinate and write this.

Nexxi is actually a nickname, short for Trinexx (which he's a gijinka of). Officially his name is Ignicius, but even I don't know if I'll call him that very often. It's kind of like Elmo.

Ignicius here worked for the Royal Family in aLttP, specifically being Zelda's mentor and guardian. He was also a royal servant to her mother and grandmother, though in the case of the latter he was only a few years older than her and was mostly a personal guard. In his younger years he was a knight and knew no magic.

One day he was injured and therefore unable to continue his duties for a time, and so he looked into reading to pass the time. He learned quite a bit about Hyrule's history, including people in it that were otherwise lost to legends, and read up on magic, though he still didn't attempt it. He eventually healed and continued his position as a guard, though a great interest in magic had been sparked. Years later, the next princess (Zelda's mother) convinced him to try learning the magic that he accidentally confessed he was so enthralled by. He studied general magic first, then fire and then ice. All of this took many years, and he was still not completely proficient by the time Princess Zelda was born. The king and other officials believed that his studies were a waste of time, as he would have no need for such magic as his only duties were attending to and teaching the princess.

During Zelda's life, Ignicius taught her various things about the history of Hyrule, the legend of Ganon (which he felt was important), and politics. He also informed her that she was a descendant of the seven sages and therefore had magic potential. So as not to make it noticeable to the king, he was very cautious about teaching her magic, only teaching her very basic magic theory and how to utilize telepathy.

At a time when she was fairly young, Ignicius had an encounter with a youth who was running from some villagers after stealing a considerable amount of money from them. Though the boy insisted against it, Ignicius took him back to Hyrule Castle for safety until morning when his mother could be informed of his location. The boy, whose name was Blind, was very much shaken up by nearly being killed and then rescued by the attendant of the royal family. Ignicius managed to talk to him and calm him down, and they had a long conversation about why Blind was so insistent on stealing the money. Near dawn, he left to go tell the guards to find his mother, and Blind escaped after stealing a sword and a single piece of chainmail.

About the events of aLttP, Agahnim removed the king from power and set out to sacrifice the descendants of the seven sages. He tempted Ignicius with power, who was dissatisfied with his own magic abilities. Igni then helped him by directing him towards William, Calypso, Seraphine, Blind, Isamalle, and Rhe.a, six people with abilities that would be magnified under the Dark World's power, who would be suitable to guard the maidens from any hero that might try to rescue them. However, he was unable to come up with a seventh person to guard Princess Zelda, and Agahnim turned against him and used him instead, turning him into Trinexx.

Derp de derp the legend of zelda belongs to nintendo but all the fanstuff belongs to me.
